1. Permanent Commission in Naval Armament Inspection cadre in Executive Branch
IN THE INDIAN NAVY FOR NAI CADRE OF THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH Jan 2011 COURSE LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATION 21 AUG 2010
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS2. Age. 19 ˝ to 25 years i.e. born between 02 Jan 1986 and 01 Jul 1991; both dates inclusive.
3. Educational Qualifications. Any of the following:-
(a) BE/B Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical from an institution recognized by AICTE.
(b) Post-graduate Degree in Electronics/Physics from a recognized University.
4. Physical Standards
(a) Height and Weight. Minimum height - 157 cms with correlated weight.
(b) Eye Sight. The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/60, 6/60
correctable to 6/6, 6/12 with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind.
Note: There will be no relaxation in physical standards.

AIR Observer ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
2. Age. 19 ˝ to 25 years born between 02 Jan 1986 and 01Jul 1991 both dates inclusive.
3. Educational Qualifications.
(a) B Sc in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics with minimum 60% marks
or
(b) M Sc in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics.with minimum 55% marks
Note: Candidates who have not completed their Degree (i.e appearing candidates)
need not apply.
4. Physical Standards
(a) Height and Weight. Minimum height - Male- 157 cms, Female -152 cms with
correlated weight.
(b) Eye Sight. The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses and should not be colour/night blind.
SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION
5. Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years,
subject to service requirement and performance/willingness of the candidate. On
completion of these tenures, officers are entitled for gratuity under the extant rules.
Disciplined life, leadership qualities and professional skills imbibed during the service
would stand as added advantages in acquiring second career post exit from the Navy.
