Test -02.
Finding the position and heading of the aircraft in flight.
Instrument as well as the Silhouette (Shape) of the aircraft will give given the candidate has to choose from options. 20 Q in 10 min
Test 03.
Machine test-1
These tests aim at assessing the candidate’s aptitude for flying and controlling the aircraft in flight.
It makes an assessment of the Hands, Legs and mind control and stress assessment is made.
Candidates will be given an explanation as well as practical demo + one practice before he/she starts the test.
In all three chances would be given.
The best of three performances would be considered as the ultimate score.
The Machine test has gadgets for controlling the flight and maintaining it on the scheduled route.
It includes Rudder (Paddle –like Equipment) and control column (Joy Stick). The stick controls the up and down movement of the Dot or Trigger.
As the computer is switched on, a moving dot appears from any one corner of the monitor.
The task is to control this moving dot and retain it at the centre of the screen in a given square.
For this the candidate has to use both hand and leg. The longer the candidate is able to keep the dot in the centre, the more marks he gets.
When the candidate tries to control the dot, a red light and a green light keeps appearing frequently.
The candidate should try to remove these lights with the correct movement of the Throttle ( fitted on the left hand side of the candidate’s chair.)
These light represent the deviation from the scheduled route.. If you ignore these lights you will be losing out on the final score.
Test 03

On your Monitor you will find a lot of dots coming from top of the screen and goes down.
Your task is it collect as many dots (balls) as possible by making use of the control stick.
Conclusion:
To sum up these tests are designed to find out whether the candidate is:-
mentally alert and has presence of mind and self confidence,
adequate control over his nerves and
particularly it is observed whether the candidate will be able to balance and control the flight and will not break down under stress.
Candidates are advised not to be afraid of this test.
They must be confident and take adequate rest before taking on this exam.
(For this test is taken only once in your life time – applicable for Defence services pilots only.)
